share data between process

Postby open_coder » Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:02 pm

Is it possible to share STL between process which are running independently ?

I am planning to create graph in adjacency list representation (using map and vector STL C++) by a process (say A), and want to read this graph using another process (say B) which perform various operations on this graph like searching, finding Shortest path etc.

Since graph is large (but can easily fit into main memory) creating graph for each operation / run make me impatient.

Is it even possible ?

This has nothing to do with OpenMP, but yes, you can use shared memory segments to do that.
